Henifin Construction provides a complete range of heavy construction services to industrial or commercial clients and public agencies. Formerly Henifin & Associates, the fully bonded general contractor was founded in 1969 by the late Ronald Henifin.

Now a second generation of family leadership under Lynne and Jaime Henifin offers a renewed focus and vitality, and a commitment to anticipating industry and regulatory changes to continue to meet the needs of their customers. Wetlands Banking and Henifin Resource Recycling are just two examples of this commitment to anticipating client needs.

Safety is Job 1
Henifin places the highest emphasis on safety in all its operations. Topics of mandatory weekly safety meetings are coordinated, for instance, so that workers or supervisors moving between jobsites receive the same training and briefings, no matter where their assignments take them.

Safety practices are reviewed by every Henifin employee before work begins Monday morning, as well as throughout the week.

Henifin is also a Drug-Free Workplace and provides a safety incentive bonus program for it's employees. As a result of this safety emphasis, Henifin Construction has had no lost work days due to accidents.

Henifin's commitment to safety was rewarded by winning the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County's 2000 Contractor Safety Award.

A Full Range of Services
Henifin Construction provides full site preparation, demolition, installation or renovation of water and sewer utilities, and road construction services. The scope of the projects include home owner projects to large industrial projects. Asphalt and concrete recycling are handled through sister company, Henifin Resource Recycling. On every jobsite, Henifin practices the highest degree of management accountability. Project supervisors are in constant communication with both the client and the main office to ensure that questions are answered promptly and changes are made immediately. This commitment is at the core of Henifin’s responsive workstyle.

Wetlands Bank
Henifin Construction has created an approved and credited wetlands bank. This bank offsets wetland requirements of clients and streamlines the permitting process and approval by local state and federal agencies. These pre-approved sites help to reduce project time and expense.
